Malta's Family Dentist — Small Practice. Familiar Faces. The Kind of Care You've Been Looking For.

Here's Why Malta Families Keep Coming Back
We Know You As a Person First
You're not just a chart number here. We know your name before you walk in, your history before we ask, and what makes you comfortable before you have to say a word. That's not a first-visit thing. That's every visit.
Dental Care Before the Daily Chaos
We open at 7:00 AM Monday through Friday so you can get seen before work, before school drop-off, or before the rest of your day takes over. Every morning at 6:30, the whole team huddles so that when you walk in, we're already ready for you specifically.
Concierge Dental Service with Emergency Access
Dental emergencies don't follow office hours, so we don’t either. Dr. Cocozzo has had the same local answering service for 30 years — real people in Albany who will find her, no matter what, 24/7. For our existing patients, when something's really wrong, you'll reach a real person — every time.
The Best Care, Not Just Convenient Care
We don't do everything under one roof just to say we do. When a specialist can do something better — and they can — we send you there. We only partner with dental specialists that we know, trust, and would send our own families to.
Genuine Relationships, Excellent Dentistry
Cocozzo Family Dentistry is a private practice in Malta where the team knows your history, your preferences, and your life — and that knowledge shows up in every appointment.
There's a reason our patients stay for decades. It's not just the dentistry — though make no mistake, the dentistry is excellent. It's that when you walk through the door, someone stands up and says your name. It's that the team spent time that morning reviewing your chart, flagging what you need, making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
Come In and Feel At Home
Our office is small and cozy — on purpose. Modern and well-appointed, but never cold or clinical. It's the kind of space where you exhale when you walk in.
We've thought about comfort in every detail. Natural light, windows that actually open, neck pillows, blankets, stress balls, TVs. And because we review every patient's chart before you arrive, if you have specific needs or preferences, we've already prepared for them. You won't have to ask twice.
New Patients Are Always Welcome
Whether you haven't been to the dentist in two years or twenty, you're not going to be lectured here. For many, the hardest part is walking through the door — and Dr. Cocozzo knows that. So we'll meet you exactly where you are and build a plan that works for your life, your timeline, and your budget.
Real Patients, Real Relationships
Every single one of these reviews is from a real person we know by name. Not cases, not chart numbers — people we've watched grow up, people we've been through hard times with. When they say something this kind, it genuinely means the world to us.

A routine cleaning isn’t just a cleaning here. It’s where we catch the small things before they turn into bigger ones — a cavity forming between teeth, early signs of gum disease, wear that suggests grinding, or something in your mouth that has nothing to do with your teeth but everything to do with your health.
At Cocozzo Family Dentistry, every cleaning includes an oral cancer screening. Every visit begins with a review of your updated health history. And your hygienist has reviewed your chart before you even sit down. They know what’s changed, what to watch for, and what questions to ask.
This isn’t a conveyor belt.
It’s a relationship.
If you’re missing a tooth — or several — the first step isn’t surgery… it’s a conversation.
Dr. Cocozzo will look at your situation honestly, walk you through your options, and help you understand what makes the most sense for your life. There’s no pressure to move in any particular direction — just a clear plan you feel comfortable with.
If an implant is the right path, she’ll refer you to a specialist she knows personally and trusts completely to place the implant.
Once the implant has healed and integrated with the bone, you’ll return to Cocozzo Family Dentistry. Dr. Cocozzo completes the restoration — whether that’s a crown, bridge, or denture attachment.
Most cases are completed in just a couple of visits once you’re back in our office.
Your care is coordinated from start to finish — you’re never left figuring out what comes next on your own.
Cosmetic dentistry isn’t about looking perfect. For some people, it’s feeling comfortable in their smile for the first time. For others, it’s getting back to the smile they had at their best. No matter what you need, whether you’ve been thinking about veneers for years or you just want your teeth a few shades brighter, it starts with a no-pressure conversation.
Dr. Cocozzo’s approach to cosmetic work starts with a simple question: what do you want? She doesn’t focus on what’s trending or what’s fastest — she wants to know what would make you feel confident every time you smile. From there, she maps out the most conservative path to get you there. No upsell, no rush, no mold that doesn’t quite match. Just careful, patient-centered work that holds up for years.
Every morning before the first patient arrives, Cristina — our office manager — reviews the schedule and sets aside time for emergencies.
Not because she knows someone will call, but because she knows someone might.
By the time you pick up the phone, we’re already ready for you.
Dental emergencies don’t follow office hours.
That’s why Dr. Cocozzo has worked with the same local Albany answering service for over 30 years — real people who answer the phone and will reach her, day or night.
You’re never left sitting in pain at 2 AM wondering what to do next.
The first dental experience shapes how a child feels about the dentist for the rest of their life — and we take that seriously.
At Cocozzo Family Dentistry, we go at your child’s pace. No rushing, no pressure, and no making a child feel bad for being nervous. PBS is playing on the TV when they walk in, and we’re always happy to make additional accommodations to help them feel not just comfortable, but safe.
At the end of the visit, they get to use a token in the prize machine — just like a gumball machine — giving them something to look forward to every time they come in.
This is a family practice. We see patients from their first visit through adulthood, and we genuinely enjoy watching kids grow up.
When something breaks, wears down, or goes missing, you feel it… When you eat. When you talk. Sometimes even when you smile.
Restorative dentistry is about getting you back to a place where you’re not thinking about it anymore Where everything feels natural again — not patched, not temporary, not “good enough for now.” Dr. Cocozzo takes her time with this kind of work. She uses magnification for every procedure so nothing is missed. She partners with a trusted local lab to ensure every crown, filling, or restoration fits the way it should — comfortably, precisely, and built to last.
Meet Dr. Cocozzo
Dr. Christina Cocozzo knew she wanted to be a dentist at age seven — and she hasn't second-guessed it in 30 years. She knew what a difference she'd make in people's smiles, but what she didn't expect was how much of the job would be about people's lives. Like the bride who had been missing a tooth since birth and just wanted to feel beautiful on her wedding day. The patient healing from a liver transplant who just wanted to feel whole again. The 95-year-old who still drives himself to appointments because he just wants to be able to eat steak with his friends.
She loves making smiles brighter, but changing lives is what gets her here every morning.
